The work
You will review de-identified patient charts, compare two AI-generated responses to clinical questions, and determine which response is stronger. Each evaluation requires a structured rationale addressing clinical accuracy, safety, completeness, clarity, and consistency with the chart and current general surgery standards of care.
What Mercor screens for
The screening process focuses on verifiable surgical training and current practice, including an MD or DO, general surgery board certification through an ABMS member board or the AOA, an active unrestricted US medical license, completed residency and any required fellowship, and at least one year of independent practice after training. Three or more years of post-training experience is strongly preferred. Expect follow-up questions that test whether you can identify consequential clinical errors, resolve ambiguity in a chart, and explain a pairwise judgment precisely.
