The work

You will write prompts and scenarios that test how AI models handle safety-sensitive questions about explosives and energetic materials. Day-to-day tasks include classifying requests as safe or unsafe, documenting the technical and contextual reasons for each decision, reviewing work from other experts, and revising submissions after structured feedback.

What AfterQuery screens for

The platform looks for advanced academic training in chemical engineering, chemistry, mechanical engineering, or a related discipline, plus demonstrable expertise in explosives or energetic materials. Screening is likely to test whether you can identify meaningful safety boundaries without relying on vague claims, unsupported assumptions about user intent, or unnecessary operational detail. Prior AI evaluation, red teaming, data annotation, explosives engineering, energetic materials research, ordnance, blasting, or defense research is preferred rather than required.

Logistics

This is remote, flexible, task-based work completed on your own schedule. You must be a citizen of the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, or New Zealand and remain physically located in one of those countries while working. No fixed weekly schedule or typical number of hours is disclosed, and submitted work is subject to approval.
