The work

You will turn situations from your own energy-sector practice into realistic tasks for AI models. Day-to-day assignments may involve building or reviewing spreadsheets, working through production, load, outage and cost data, and identifying errors that an experienced engineer or analyst would catch. Relevant backgrounds include utilities, oil and gas companies, and power producers, with preference for experience in reservoir engineering, production, power systems, transmission planning, renewables, or energy trading analysis.

What the screening is likely to assess

Expect an AI-led screen to verify at least five years of relevant professional experience, a bachelor's degree or higher, and hands-on spreadsheet work. It may follow up on a specific project to test whether you can explain data sources, assumptions, calculations, operational constraints, and quality checks in strong written English. A Professional Engineer license is preferred, not required.

Practical details

The work is fully remote, part time, and scheduled flexibly. Projects are paid hourly, and the volume and timing of assignments may vary, so candidates should be ready to state realistic weekly availability and any constraints on accepting project work.
