What the work involves
You receive structured tasks built around the creative applications you already use professionally — Figma, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, Canva, CorelDRAW, CLO3D, Camtasia, Lightroom, Mural, Milanote, Behance. Some tasks ask you to complete a realistic creative brief inside a tool and document your process; others ask you to judge AI-generated design or media output for accuracy, usability and realism, then rate it against a project rubric and write annotations explaining the score. The written portion matters as much as the judgment: a rating without a defensible reason referencing professional workflow is not a usable data point. Expect to also flag where a model misunderstands a tool's actual behaviour — layer logic, node graphs, pattern grading, keyframe interpolation — and to suggest concretely what a better output would look like.
What the platform screens for
Two things, and one is a hard gate. First, real creative depth: micro1's screen probes into specific tools and asks follow-ups, so naming software you have only touched once tends to surface quickly. Second, and stated as a firm requirement, verified paid experience doing human data work for AI models — annotation, labeling, RLHF, preference ranking, model evaluation or rubric-based grading. The listing is explicit that generating images, video or copy with AI tools does not satisfy this. Be ready to name the client, platform or agency, the task type, and roughly when and how long you worked on it. English at B2 or above is required because the deliverable is largely written. No degree is asked for; practical creative experience is the qualification.
Logistics
- Remote contractor engagement, asynchronous within task deadlines
- Observed band $30–100/hr, varying with specialisation and task complexity; not guaranteed
- Volume comes in project waves rather than a fixed weekly schedule
- Requires a dependable internet connection and readiness to start promptly
- Access to the creative applications in your specialisation is assumed
