The work

You will review sample passport and citizenship questions to determine whether they reflect real applicant concerns. Day to day, the work includes writing rubrics for complex cases, scoring AI-generated answers, and identifying errors, omissions, or outdated guidance involving lost, stolen, or damaged passports, name changes, citizenship evidence, minors, custody, and applicants born or living abroad.

What the platform screens for

The screen is likely to focus on verifiable State Department experience and detailed command of passport, citizenship, and nationality matters. Candidates should be prepared to explain how they adjudicated or advised on difficult cases, distinguish required evidence from supplementary evidence, and write criteria that another evaluator could apply consistently. Experience with document fraud, identity or name-change cases, training materials, or applicants who do not speak English is useful but not required.

Logistics

This is a remote, US-based contractor role for a short-term project. Work is asynchronous, with a stated commitment of 20-30 hours per week and an expectation that the selected contractor can start quickly. No AI experience is required.

Pay band: $50–70/hr
