The work
You will listen to Chinese audio clips and judge pronunciation, intonation, fluency, nativeness and linguistic authenticity using project guidelines. Day-to-day tasks include identifying relevant phonetic or delivery issues, recording ratings, writing concise feedback in English and justifying decisions clearly enough for consistent AI training data.
What the screening covers
micro1 screens for native-level spoken and written Chinese, plus English proficiency at minimum B2 level. Expect questions that test whether you can distinguish genuine pronunciation errors from acceptable variation, explain tone and prosody issues precisely, apply a rubric consistently and support borderline judgments with evidence from an audio sample. A background in voice specialization, linguistics, phonetics, music/audio engineering or a related field is preferred. Experience with audio analysis, transcription or linguistic assessment is highly valued, while familiarity with media, communications or teaching is considered an asset.
Practical details
The contract is fully remote and designed for flexible, own-schedule work. Audio review and written assessment are generally asynchronous, with coordinator contact when instructions or language content are ambiguous, and the listing does not state fixed weekly hours. You will need a quiet workspace and reliable internet to complete assigned reviews accurately and on time.
Pay band: $30–65/hr
