What the work actually is

You are not analysing a company's books — you are building the problems a model gets wrong and then explaining, step by step, why the correct answer is correct. A typical task looks like a sales table across locations and months where the naive read ('Location C grew most') collapses once you pick a sensible baseline period and strip out a first-month anomaly. Another looks like a constraint puzzle — a postman, four neighbourhoods, ordering rules — where the deliverable is a deduction chain a grader can audit line by line. You will also read long documents, decompose them into logical blocks, and verify factual claims through online research rather than assertion.

Because this is a Dutch-language track, a portion of the work involves producing or reviewing material in Dutch while working from English task instructions and English-language style guidance. The listing states multilingual capability in English and Dutch is mandatory. No specialised domain background is required beyond that — Turing explicitly says prior domain expertise is not needed, though professional writing history (business analyst, research analyst, journalist, technical writer, editor, translator) is listed as preferred.

What the screen looks for

  • Reasoning you can show. Screens push on the intermediate steps, not the final number. Being right with an unexplained answer scores poorly here.
  • Genuine Dutch fluency, likely probed by asking you to handle a task or explanation in Dutch. Conversational Dutch and writing-grade Dutch are different things and the screen tends to find the gap.
  • Feedback discipline. Can you say what is wrong with a model output, cite the exact span, and propose the corrected reasoning?
  • Research habits. How you verify a claim, and what you do when sources disagree.
  • Honest availability. The 2–5 hours of US Pacific overlap is real and gets asked about directly.

Logistics
