What the work involves

Most of your time goes to two things: producing original psychological material in Malay and English, and judging material a model produced. Authoring means building case vignettes, assessment items, intake scenarios, and clinician-style reasoning chains that hold up against how psychology is actually practised in Malaysian, Singaporean, or Bruneian contexts — not translated American case studies with names swapped. Evaluation means reading model output on clinical reasoning, diagnostic framing, risk language, or therapeutic response and marking where it is wrong, where it is ethically unsafe, and where it is merely fluent. Written rationales matter as much as scores; the rationale is what the training pipeline consumes.

Bilingual work here is not translation in the conventional sense. Diagnostic and affective vocabulary in Malay frequently lacks a clean one-to-one mapping — terms around distress, somatic complaint, family obligation, or spiritual framing carry weight that English clinical registers flatten. You will be asked to flag when a model's Malay output is grammatically correct but clinically or culturally off, and to explain the gap in terms an annotator without a psychology background can apply consistently.

What the platform screens for

micro1 runs an AI-led interview before any human review. Expect it to verify the PhD and where it was earned, probe your actual clinical and academic history rather than your description of it, and push on domain specifics with follow-ups — naming an instrument, then asking how you would explain a subscale to a Malay-speaking client. Language claims are tested live in both directions. AI experience is not required and not asked about; judgment about when model output is unsafe is.
