This is a data contribution task, not an annotation or evaluation role. You are the subject of the data. micro1 is assembling a facial dataset with genuine representation from contributors aged 50 and over, and the material has to be authentic imagery of you from across a five-year window — not a batch of photos shot in one afternoon. Most of the effort goes into finding qualifying images in your camera roll, confirming approximate capture dates, stripping any beautification or filter effects the phone applied automatically, and recording whatever short videos you still need to reach the required count.

What the platform screens for

The screen is short and mostly factual. It confirms you meet the age requirement, that you already have or can produce imagery meeting the spec, and that you understand and consent to how facial data of this kind is used — which is training and evaluating AI models, potentially including face recognition and verification systems. Screeners also check that you can follow a written spec closely: rejected submissions usually fail on filters left in place, images that turn out to be screenshots or forwarded copies, or sets clustered in one month rather than spread over years. Being able to say plainly which photos you have and where they came from carries more weight here than any polish in how you describe yourself.

Logistics and honesty about pay

Fully remote and fully asynchronous — no calls, no scheduled hours. The listing states a one-time payment on completion of the full set; the hourly band shown on this page is that payment expressed against expected time on task, and it is an observed figure rather than a guaranteed rate. If gathering and cleaning your set takes longer than the platform assumes, the effective rate drops accordingly. Treat this as a discrete paid task worth a few hours, not a recurring income stream. Read the consent and licensing terms before submitting; biometric data is not something to hand over casually, and declining after reading them is a perfectly reasonable outcome.
